Description | Tongue Bay is a good base to access the walk to the Hill Inlet lookout which offers “must see” views down Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet. The beach on Tounge Bay anchorage side is accessible only at high or near high tide (Minimum of 1.2 meters of water is needed to cross the reef) alternatively take the tender around Tongue point to the Betty’s beach (sandy) on the Hill Inlet side. |

Things of Interest | At the end of the bay large turtles feed here on the sea grass. So many can be seen passing through here. Sit and wait awhile looking around and your bound to see a couple of these very large turtles getting a breather. |
