About Vela Perfecta
Our new Fountaine Pajot “Vela Perfecta” – a 44′ Orana model – is the ideal vessel to sail around 74 Islands on your next Whitsunday bareboat charter. The helm station accommodates three people comfortably and affords excellent visibility above the deckhouse.
The cockpit has plenty of room and connects to the saloon and galley via a large sliding door. The saloon table comfortably seats 8 and there is a 360⁰ panoramic view through the sliding door and bay windows.
The 4 double cabins each have their own bathroom with separate shower. The starboard aft cabin has a “walk around” bed and the other three have semi-island configurations.
Reviews of Vela Perfecta
Rob and Julia Webster –
We recently chartered ‘Vela Perfecta’ for a week cruising with a party of 4 adults and five children. The boat was spacious, comfortable and we never felt crowded. There was plenty of storage space for our gear and ample fridge/freezer room as well. Maneuverability was great thanks to the twin engines, and the autopilot made it easy to leave the helm momentarily so the skipper could help with sail handling. Two of us handled the boat easily. She performed really well in heavy weather. We sailed Vela Perfecta in winds up to 25 knots and found her extremely comfortable and stable, as well as being easy to control from the helm.
The trip was awesome! We caught fish with the kids, explored some secluded anchorages and lived it up for a night at Hamilton Island. We free-dived some amazing coral formations in Blue Pearl Bay, Luncheon Bay, and Cateran Bay, which were equal in quality to many offshore barrier reefs. It’s not exaggerating to say that the boat and support crew made the trip for us. Some of our party weren’t sailors, but the detailed brief, seaworthiness, and simple operation of Vela perfecta reassured them and led to an amazing holiday and a few sailing converts.
I can’t wait to do this again and would recommend Vela Perfecta and her support crew at Charter Yachts Australia to anyone considering a charter in this amazing part of the world.
